Sunbelt Rentals continued its acquisition activity in its fiscal third quarter from the beginning of November 2022 through the end of January 2023 with 11 new acquisitions, and seven more since the end of the quarter. Its first acquisition was on November 1 when Sunbelt Canada acquired the entire share capital of Modu-Loc Fence Rentals LP and Sunbelt US acquired the entire share capital of Modu-Loc USA. Modu-Loc is a specialty business operating across Canada and in Texas.
On Nov. 4, Sunbelt US acquired the business and assets of Iron Oak Energy LLC and Spoonbill Logistics LLC, a general tool business in Louisiana, ranked No. 91 on the RER 100.
On Nov. 9, Sunbelt US acquired the business and assets of Wagner Rental & Supply, Wagner Tool Rental of Jackson Inc., Wagner Rental and Supply of Ashland Inc. and Wagner Rental and Supply of Chillicothe LLC. Wagner is a general tool and equipment rental business in Ohio and Kentucky.
The very next day, on Nov. 10, Sunbelt US acquired the business and assets of QxTwo Equipment Sales LLC, a specialty business in South Carolina.
On Nov. 16, Sunbelt US acquired the business and assets of Ohio Rental Mt. Vernon Inc. and Ohio Rental of Johnstown Inc. Ohio Rental is a general tool business in Ohio.
On Dec. 2, Sunbelt Canada acquired the entire share capital of Studio City Scaffold Ltd, a specialty business in the film industry operating in Toronto and Vancouver, Canada, and in Los Angeles.
On Dec. 7, Sunbelt US acquired the business and assets of Portable Air LC, a specialty business operating in Florida, Texas and Louisiana.
The next day, on Dec. 8, Sunbelt UK acquired the entire share capital of Alpha Grip, a specialty business.
On Dec. 14, Sunbelt US acquired the business and assets of Diamond Rentals, a general tool business operating in Washington.
On Jan. 12, 2023, Sunbelt US acquired the entire share capital of Lift Works Inc., a specialty business operating in Illinois.
On Jan. 18, Sunbelt US acquired the business and assets of Straight Up Equipment LLC, a specialty business operating in Ohio.
February and March acquisitions
After the end of the reporting period, Sunbelt continued its acquisition activity with seven more transactions for a total purchase consideration of $120 million, including acquired debt of $20 million.
On Feb. 7, 2023, Sunbelt US acquired the business and assets of Key Rentals Group LLC and TBG Equipment LLC, a specialty business operating in Montana.
On Feb. 17, Sunbelt US acquired the business and assets of West Ashley Tool & Rental LLC, a general tool business operating in South Carolina.
On Feb. 21, Sunbelt US acquired the business and assets of C2 Equipment Rental LLC, a general tool business operating in Florida.
The next day, Feb. 22, Sunbelt US acquired the business and assets of BigSky Rents & Events, a general tool business operating in Montana.
On Feb. 28, Sunbelt US acquired the entire share capital of Bullet Rentals & Sales, a general tool business in Oregon.
On March 1, Sunbelt Canada acquired the entire share capital of Ottawa Rental & Supply Ltd., trading as Ontario Rental & Supply. ORS is a general tool business operating in the province of Ontario.
And on March 3, Sunbelt US acquired the business and assets of Ned R. Werbe Inc., trading as A Rental Service Co., a general tool business operating in Indiana.
Sunbelt Rentals, based in Fort Mill, S.C., is No. 2 on the RER 100.
