Sunbelt Rentals Makes 10 Acquisitions in Fiscal First Half and Four More Since

Sunbelt Rentals acquired 10 companies during its fiscal first half of 2021 for $427.6 million in cash.

Sunbelt Rentals acquired 10 companies during its fiscal first half of 2021 for $427.6 million in cash. The 10 acquisitions took place between May 1 and Oct. 31. Since the end of the fiscal quarter, Sunbelt has completed four more.

  • On May 12, Sunbelt Canada acquired the business and assets of Island Equipment Rentals Ltd., a general tool business in British Columbia.
  • On May 26, Sunbelt U.S. acquired the business and assets of Randall Industries, a general tool business in Illinois and Indiana.
  • On June 24, Sunbelt U.S. acquired the business and assets of Iron Equipment Rental, a general tool business in Ohio. Dan Conway of Craft Partners LLC represented IER in the transaction.
  • On July 21, Sunbelt U.S. acquired the business and assets of National Drying Technologies LLC. NDT is a specialty business in Florida and Georgia.
  • On July 28, Sunbelt U.S. acquired the business and assets of Special Event Service & Rental Inc., a specialty business in Tennessee and Nevada.
  • On Aug. 18, Sunbelt U.S. acquired the business and assets of Lloyd’s Rental & Sales, a Pennsylvania general tool business.
  • A week later, on Aug. 25, Sunbelt U.S. acquired the business and assets of Bedrock Tool & Equipment Co., a general tool business in Ohio.
  • On Sept. 28, Sunbelt U.S. acquired the business and assets of 202 Rent All, a general tool business in Pennsylvania.
  • On Oct. 13, Sunbelt U.S. acquired the business and assets of Atlas Aerials & Equipment LLC, a general tool business in Illinois.
  • And on Oct. 22, Sunbelt U.S. acquired the business and assets of Action Rental Holdings LLC, Action Equipment Rentals LLC, and Action Rentals Trench Shoring & Supply LLC, a general tool business in Florida, Georgia and Louisiana.

Sunbelt continued its acquisition activity as the third fiscal quarter began in November. On Nov. 5, Sunbelt U.S. acquired the business and assets of All Keys Rental LLC, a general tool business in Florida.

  • On Nov. 19, Sunbelt U.S. acquired the business and assets of Essex Rental & Sales Center, a general tool business in Vermont. Dan Conway of Craft Partners LLC represented Essex in the transaction.
  • On Nov. 23, Sunbelt Canada acquired the business and assets of Lift Services, a general tool business in Ontario.
  • And On Dec. 1, Sunbelt U.S. acquired the entire share capital of Mahaffey Tent & Awning Co., Mahaffey USA LLC, Mahaffey Industrial Contractors LLC and Cajun Affiliates. Mahaffey is a temporary structure business based in Memphis and operating throughout the United States.
