Action Equipment Rental was named Business of the Year by the Las Cruces (N.M.) Chamber of Commerce. Action has five southern New Mexico stores, three in Las Cruces, one each in Alamagordo and Silver City, N.M. Some of the locations were originally part of A-1 Rental Centers founded by legendary rentalman Hotch Manning, who died a week ago in Texas.
Several years after A-1 was sold to RentX, former A-1 and RentX executive Joseph Muensch acquired the former A-1 branches from RentX. Last year Muensch hired another former A-1 and RentX executive Leonard Sedillo as general manager.
The company was honored at a banquet along with other local business leaders. A number of local and state politicians and dignitaries attended.
