John Deere adds three industry-leading K-Series four-wheel drive wheel loaders to its lineup. The 744K-II (shown), 824K-II, and 844K-II diesel engines all meet emission regulations and are built on the Interim Tier 4/Stage IIIB solution, employing cooled exhaust gas recirculation, exhaust filters and selective catalytic reduction. The K-Series-II loaders come equipped with Teammate V Axles (744K-II and 824K-II) with standard cooling and filtration, and engageable front differential locks that provide heavy-duty traction for demanding terrain. They also feature brake reactors and automatic self-adjustors to eliminate brake drag and to maintain a constant brake running clearance with less heat. In addition, the hydraulic tank has been moved underneath the steps (FT4 models only) for better rear visibility.
