Caterpillar

The Caterpillar 267B, 277B and 287B multi-terrain loaders feature new turbocharged engines with more power, higher breakout forces, redesigned operator station components and design changes that improve reliability and serviceability. The loaders are compact, rubber-tracked machines designed for versatility, floatation, traction, stability and ride quality. The suspended undercarriage transfers machine weight to the ground through wheeled contact points bearing against the track for low ground pressure. The 287B has an operating capacity of 3,600 pounds, the 277B has an operating capacity of 2,950 pounds, and the 267B has an operating capacity of 2,900 pounds at 50 percent tipping load.

Gehl

Gehl adds the 3-ton model 383Z zero-tail-swing compact excavator to its product line. It is designed to operate close to walls and obstructions without risk of contact. The size of the operator's compartment is maximized by mounting the 29-hp Yanmar diesel engine on the side of the machine, and the hydraulic and fuel tanks on the rear of the machine, which provides the operator with more space and legroom. In order to maximize serviceability, the cab tilts to the side for quick access to service points for hydraulics, rotary transmission, control block and the air-conditioning unit.

Kobelco

The 27SR-3, 30SR-3, 35SR-3 and 50SR-3 compact excavators from Kobelco Construction Machinery America are designed for smaller scale excavation needs. The combination of zero-tail swing and center-boom swing gives the operator the maneuverability needed to dig anywhere around the excavator and deposit material precisely with minimal repositioning. Whether digging footers, ripping up concrete or performing general excavating work, the zero-tail-swing design allows the SR-3 series excavators to move and work in close quarters without damaging the machine or the jobsite.
