Point of Rental’s Elite platform now integrates with Samsara, connecting route data between Elite’s Dispatch Center and Samsara’s GPS Fleet Tracking.

Samsara’s software lets companies view route activity for their delivery vehicles, enabling them to instantly track vehicle location, route progress, and late or missed stops.

Samsara’s GPS-tracking dashcams trigger arrival and departure notifications when trucks, trailers, or equipment cross the geofence around a site. Notifications can automatically send emails or texts via Elite to let customers know that their items have arrived or that the driver has left the site.

“Our customers are already using Samsara to manage their fleets,” said John Wooten, Elite’s product manager. “Connecting delivery and location data to Elite will allow them to communicate better internally and with their customers. We’re excited to see the impact this integration will have for our customers - and their customers, too.”

Samsara’s trackers can use Elite’s Twilio integration to send text messages as well, opening up even more ways to communicate route updates.
