Skyjack announces the launch of its new SJ5545 E electric drive scissor lift, representing the highest working height scissor lift in Skyjack’s range of slab scissors. Suitable for indoor and outdoor use, the new SJ5545 E includes innovative design features and high platform capacities. These machines provide a clean, quiet, sustainable rental solution with zero emissions, lower operating costs, and increased utilization.

With a working height of 51 feet (15.54 m) and a load capacity of 770 pounds (394 kg), this E-Drive model features responsive control and maneuverability, making it a choice for a wide range of construction, maintenance, and industrial applications.

The intelligent adaptive variable speed brushless drive system provides excellent duty cycles, smooth automatic transition from high to low speed on a grade including 25-percent gradeability. Fully proportional drive and lift controls offer efficiency, controllability, and improved torque and traction.

“Skyjack machines are known for reliability, durability, and serviceability,” said Charlie Patterson, Skyjack president. “Our new slab scissor provides a simple, quality, and environmentally friendly choice for rental at our highest working height. We are thrilled to see our simply electric E-Drive scissor line continue to grow.”

The scissor stack design of the SJ5545 E features fully welded cross-bracing that increases rigidity and improves operator comfort at height. The SJ5545 E is drivable at full height and offers a 2-person wind-rating at 22 feet (6.7 m) for optimal performance and utilization. The maximized width of the robust, all-steel, anti-slip platform provides the largest working areas in its class, while minimizing space between platform and workface.

Multiple lanyard attachment points
The platform incorporates multiple lanyard attachment points and a manually operated 3-foot (0.90 m) roll-out extension deck for an optimized work area and up-and-over capability. The modular rail system easily folds down to reduce stowed height for transportation.

“The Skyjack team designs our innovative machines to maximize uptime,” said Corey Connolly, Skyjack’s head of product management. “The new SJ5545 E has proven, easy to-understand control systems, with an on-board digital diagnostics display that allows operators to see real time, simple language readouts, and load-sensing information. No plug-in calibration is necessary for day-to-day troubleshooting, all major service points are easily accessible, and common parts across our slab scissor range make for straightforward maintenance and repairs. Additionally, Skyjack’s ECO mark supports customers by outlining the environmental performance and long-term sustainability of our machines.”

The SJ5545 E is available now in North American and European regions. Learn more about the new, simply reliable battery-powered slab scissor at www.skyjack.com/product/sj5545-e.
