MEC Aerial Work Platforms announces the update of its Micro19 model. This new model delivers jobsite ease of use with fixed rails that fit through standard doorways and lower stowed platform height entry and exit.

MEC has reduced the overall height to 78.5 inches (1.99m) to meet the taller guardrail regulation of 43.3 inches (1.1m). While most standard 19 foot machines require folding guardrails, the MEC Micro19 does not, further solidifying the Micro Advantage.

The Micro19 is designed for congested and compact job sites, as the Micro footprint makes it easier to get in tight places and reduces the risk of damage to finished walls and door frames.

“MEC stays true to our mission of A Better Solution in everything we do and there’s nothing simpler than fixed guardrails that need no folding at all when transitioning between rooms,” said Gary Crook, vice president of engineering. “Now there is a machine that has the Micro footprint the industry has come to specify by choice with the simplicity of fixed guardrails.”

The same lower overall height and stowed platform height dimensions that the Micro19 offers are also available in the Micro19-XD model with MEC’s patent pending Xtra-Deck innovation for extra height into confined overhead spaces. The patent pending Leak Containment System option is available on both models for a truly Better Solution for jobsite productivity and safety.

Both the Micro19 and Micro19 XD models with fixed guardrail will be a featured product at the ARA show in Booth 3041.
