Lincoln Electric Expands Flux-Cored Wire Applications

May 24, 2022
A new high-performance contact tip allows operators to use the HyperFill process in flux-cored applications for increased deposition rates up to 15 lb/h.

Lincoln Electric has announced its latest evolution of the HyperFill Twin-Wire Welding Solution with its expansion into FCAW-G applications.

Thanks to a new high-performance contact tip, operators can use the HyperFill process in flux-cored applications for increased deposition rates up to 15 lb/h. This solution also delivers the flexibility to weld in flat, horizontal, vertical-up, and overhead positions.

“Since its launch in 2019, Lincoln Electric has continued to evolve the HyperFill Twin-Wire solution to meet our customers’ needs and drive innovation in the market,” said Troy Gurkin – global director of heavy fabrication. “Our latest advancement in applying Hyperfill to flux-cored applications is another great example of that – providing our FCAW-G customers the ability to maximize productivity with increased deposition rates and extreme operator ease-of-use.”

  • Maximized productivity with usable FCAW-G deposition rates above 15 lb/hr.
  • Expanded application scope with the ability to weld HyperFill FCAW-G in flat, horizontal, vertical up, and overhead positions.
  • Improved ease-of-use and puddle control at high-deposition rates.
  • Targeted HyperFill applications in markets that require (or prefer) the FCAW-G process.
