XL Specialized Trailers, a manufacturer of heavy haul and specialized trailers, launches the XL Side Dump, a durable and versatile side dump trailer. Available in 2- (XL 60 SD2-37) and 3-axle (XL 60 SD3-37) designs, the new trailer is for the aggregate industry. Plus, it features a two-year full frame warranty.

“The aggregate industry works with tough materials — and needs a tough product to handle them,” said Tom Hiatt, director of sales at XL. “Our team invested significant research and development efforts into designing the new XL Side Dump. The result is a durable product that incorporates no-nonsense safety measures to ensure productivity on the job site. The fantastic financing options available for the side dump trailer, and the warranty, make it the perfect addition to your fleet.”

Built with safety in mind, the XL Side Dump includes tub hooks on each side of the trailer. When one side is disengaged, the other side automatically engages, ensuring the tub is always secure. The electric mesh tarp system also prevents the tub from dumping when it is covered.

Equipped with a generous tub, the XL 60 offers a capacity of 23 cubic yards water level and 33 cubic yards strike-off. Designed to be crack resistant, operators can rely on the ¼ inch AR450 steel tub to haul material.

The XL 60 SD2-37 has an overall length of 39 feet 8 inches, while the XL 60 SD3-37 comes in at 41 feet 9 inches. Both trailers measure 102 inches wide and feature a capacity of 60,000 pounds.

The trailer is equipped with six lights per side, rubber-mounted LED lights and dual-intensity center cluster lights. While many custom options are available, the XL Side Dump is offered in black, International Harvester red or new CAT yellow with a one-year paint warranty. In addition to the two-year structural warranty, there is an option to lease or lease to own.
