The new line of pneumatic piercing tools, Pierce Airrow II, from Ditch Witch is designed to perform short- to medium-range compaction boring projects, pipe ramming and pushing, and pipe pulling. The seven models range from 2¼ inches to 4¼ inches outside diameter, with or without threaded heads, and offer trenchless solutions for a wide range of underground construction professionals.

“Each model is manufactured from aircraft-quality steel, heat treated for durability and highly machined components remove the need for wear rings on the striker, which reduces the amount of routine maintenance that needs to be performed,” says Jeri Briegge, public relations/advertising manager for Ditch Witch.

The Pierce Airrow II line also features tapered buttress thread joints, similar to drill pipe, that ensure positive locking and maximize strength at all threaded connections. The Nord-Lock securing system reinforces joints that are subject to extreme vibration or dynamic loads.

Optional equipment for Pierce Airrow II piercing tools include nose expanders and replaceable heads that increase the diameter of the bore hole, and clamp-on rear expanders and tail adapters for pulling in PVC pipe or other material behind the tool.
