Werk-Brau Introduces Tree Shear Attachments for Multiple Machines and Jobs
Werk-Brau, a manufacturer of buckets and attachments for loaders and excavators, introduces a new line of tree shear attachments. With continuous 360-degree rotation, a Hardox cutting blade, felling support, Bluetooth rotation control, grapple functionality and patented eBoost hydraulic technology, the TS series allows contractors to cut, grip, rotate, stack, and manage trees with greater control in demanding applications.
Models are available for mini excavators, compact excavators, and mid-size excavators from 3 to 20 metric tons, as well as skid steers, compact track loaders, compact wheel loaders, loaders, and telehandlers ranging from 1.3 to 21 metric tons. Werk-Brau tree shears clear trees, manage vegetation, and reduce attachment changes in the field, deriving more utility from equipment already in the fleet, especially in applications where cutting, controlling, and stacking trees are all part of the same job. The largest Werk-Brau tree shear can cut trees up to 12.5 inches in diameter (8-inches and 10-inches respectively for smaller models).
Once the tree is cut, the attachment’s continuous 360-degree rotation allows operators to precisely manipulate material, improve control, and place trees into cleaner, more manageable piles. That ability can make a meaningful difference when working along roadsides, fence rows, field edges, utility corridors, fire prevention areas, and storm cleanup sites where space, safety, and productivity are vital.
A removable Hardox cutting blade allows the attachment to function as both a tree shear and a grapple. The blade is designed to be sharpened while installed on the machine or removed for off-site sharpening when preferred. With the cutting blade removed, operators can use the attachment for grapple-style handling, giving customers one tool that can cut trees, hold material, rotate continuously, stack debris, and handle brush or storm-damaged material.
The attachment also includes a felling support to help operators better manage trees during cutting and placement. Rotation is controlled through a Bluetooth-connected switch, and the system requires only one set of dual-acting hydraulic lines to run, making it easier to pair with a wide range of machines.
At the heart of every Werk-Brau tree shear is patented eBoost technology, a hydraulic system designed to accelerate the movement of hydraulic attachments and machinery without sacrificing power. The system intelligently controls oil flow and pressure in real time, sending force where it is needed to improve speed, control, and fuel efficiency. For operators, that means the attachment is engineered not just to cut, but to help work more smoothly through repetitive clearing tasks. The Werk-Brau tree shear is built for a wide range of applications, including energy wood harvesting, branch and problem tree management, roadside clearing, fence row clearing, field edge maintenance, power line and utility right-of-way clearing, landscaping, storm damage cleanup, forest fire prevention and cleanup, young forest management, brush clearing, and general vegetation management.
By offering models for compact machines through larger carriers, Werk-Brau is positioning the new tree shear lineup to serve customers who need a right-sized excavator tree shear attachment, skid steer tree shear attachment, loader tree shear, or telehandler tree shear for the machine they already own.
