General Pipe Cleaners’ New Flexi-Rooter Junior Has Flexible 50-Foot-Long Shaft

The stronger, stiffer flexible shaft with an enhanced sheath makes it flexible enough to navigate tighter bends.

General Pipe Cleaners has expanded its flexible shaft drain-cleaning lineup with the new Flexi-Rooter Junior, a compact and versatile system designed for cleaning small line clogs quickly and efficiently.

The lightweight and compact Flexi-Rooter Junior weighs just 20 pounds yet holds 50 feet of 1/4-inch (6mm) flexible shaft to easily clear 1 1/4-inch through 3-inch drain lines up to 50 feet long. The stronger, stiffer flexible shaft with an enhanced sheath makes it flexible enough to navigate tighter bends. The shaft spins up to 10 times faster than conventional drain-cleaning tools for a more thorough cleaning job.

An integral variable-speed motor delivers powerful performance. The air-actuated foot pedal lets operators adjust speed from zero to 2400 rpm while keeping both hands free to safely guide the flexible shaft into the line. Operators can also use the Flexi-Rooter Junior simultaneously with a sewer camera system to pinpoint trouble areas and instantly inspect results.

General’s two-part cleaning array combines ClogChopper cutters with hardened steel chain cutters for a formidable cleaning performance. The ClogChopper cutters feature six self-sharpening blades that dig into encrusted debris, scale and crystallized urine, grinding up stoppages efficiently. Their spherical design easily maneuvers around tight bends and traps.

“The Flexi-Rooter Junior is like the little brother to our full-size Flexi-Rooter, but it’s more flexible for smaller drains and has a foot pedal controlled integral variable speed motor that really packs a punch when tackling tough small-line clogs,” said Joe Kozlowski, marketing director, General Pipe Cleaners. “It gives contractors control and efficiency, making clearing smaller drain lines faster, safer and more effective than ever.”
