Gen-Eye Fusion High-Definition Pipe Inspection System Offers Expanded Features
The new Gen-Eye fusion video pipe inspection system from General Pipe Cleaners combines a high-quality, high-definition camera with three ways to record, a touch screen keyboard for titling, gen-pack battery adapter for remote operation, and a durable gel-rod push rod. Crisp, clear images and recordings are viewed on a large 10.1-inch LCD touch screen built into a durable, compact case.
The Command Module features an advanced video recorder with full high definition 1080p recording capability. It supports USB to flash drive recording and has an internal memory with a capacity of 64 GB, which provides recording of approximately 32 hours of inspections.
The Gen-eye fusion also includes wi-fi live video streaming with easy point-to-point connections. It offers video recording and snapshot features using a cell phone or tablet via General’s free app.
The command module on-screen display features time and date stamp, recording duration, distance counter in feet or meters, and available recording space. The graphics can be viewed in multiple languages. Its touch screen keyboard allows users to add up to 12 lines of text and up to 50 characters per line. It offers text templates to fill in fields of company name, project name, operator, pipe material, and pipe dimension.
The Gen-pack battery adapter mounted on the back of the command module case enables users to conduct sewer inspections for up to 12 hours in remote locations where access to power is limited. It’s compatible with Milwaukee m18 batteries or equivalent. Battery and charger are not included.
“Our new Gen-eye fusion takes the guesswork out of inspections,” said Angela Grieb, national sales manager at General Pipe Cleaners. “Everything about it, from the intuitive touch screen and wi-fi streaming to the durable gel-rod push cable and cordless operation, is designed to make the process faster, easier, and more efficient for professionals in the field.”
The Gen-eye fusion is compatible with both of General’s new high-definition cameras and reels as well as General’s full-size reel, mini-reel, and micro-scope3 camera systems. For even easier camera locating, the Gen-eye hot-spot pipe locator can be used to quickly lead the operator right to the target with pinpoint accuracy.
