The best drain cleaning tool for clearing grease clogged drains isn’t a snake: it’s a water jet.

General Pipe Cleaners’ JM-1450 electric water jet has thrust created by high-pressure that enables the water to pull the hose down the line and cuts through tough grease stoppages. Water flow flushes the stoppage away for wall-to-wall cleaning action.

The jet works for both restaurants and homeowner’s kitchens. The JM-1450’s compact design makes it easier to fit into a car trunk with an overall height of 34 inches. Remove the easily detachable hose reel, and height drops to just 14-1/2 inches. The telescoping handle makes it easy to roll the machine to and from jobs.

The JM-1450 is driven by a 1-1/2 hp sealed motor yet pulls only 13 amps. The 1500 psi, 1.7 gpm triplex pump features Vibra-pulse on demand. Vibra-pulse helps the hose slide around tight bends in small lines and down long runs. This unique feature allows flow rate to remain the same whether Vibra-pulse is on or off. A 150 foot capacity hose reel is mounted on a heavy-duty frame with eight-inch semi-pneumatic tires.

Safety features include a thermal relief valve to protect the pump from heat damage, as well as a backflow check valve and inlet filter. An optional spray wand is available.
