The new Gen-Eye Prism video inspection system from General Pipe Cleaners lets you use a tablet or smartphone to monitor and record inspection work. A WiFi transmitter inside the Prism sends video to a designated device up to 500 feet away.

The Prism Command Module weighs 3 pounds and can be mounted securely on the company's Gen-Eye GL or POD reel. An expandable cradle on top of the unit safely supports a standard size tablet and adjusts for optimal viewing. Optional brackets for mini-tablets and smartphones are also available.

The Prism features:

  • An on-screen distance counter to track how much push rod remains in the line
  • A nine-page titler with full keyboard to add company and job information to videos
  • A power port to keep your tablet or smartphone charged during inspections
  • Date and time stamps for record keeping
  • An LED dimmer control

Complete systems feature a self-leveling color camera that automatically keeps the picture right side up – and 2-, 3-, and 6-inch trap skids. Prism’s 512 Hz transmitter also is designed to facilitate quick, accurate camera tracking with General’s Hot Spot pipe locator.
