With the introduction of the all-new Pony Express 1061 Lithium and 1061-HD Lithium electric tuggers, the electric tugger line from Electro Kinetic Technologies is more powerful than ever, with each tugger able to pull or push a load of up to 1500 pounds and 2000 pounds, respectively.

These new products feature a wide range of capabilities, including lithium iron phosphate swappable battery packs, the tuggers’ namesake. This technology allows for 24/7 operation, leading to more efficient project timelines and major cost savings. The battery pack weighs less than 34 pounds, yet delivers the performance comparable to a 40 Ah lithium iron phosphate battery. Unlike other lithium technologies, these batteries have UN38.3 certification allowing for global safe transport.

Another key feature of these brand-new electric tuggers is their Bluetooth compatibility and smart phone monitoring app. Not only will the battery pack itself tell the operator when the charge is getting low, but users can monitor the status right from their smart phones. Operators using this technology will save time and energy from not needing to haul a dead battery all the way back to the charging station, and money savings are a given with battery life being extended two to three times.
