CS Unitec introduces a line of abrasive flap discs that utilize the Plantex high-tech compound, and feature a backing plate made of natural hemp and a polypropylene binder. These discs are designed to be better for the environment because hemp, a sustainable raw material, counteracts the greenhouse effect by converting carbon dioxide into oxygen during photosynthesis. The Plantex compound can be safely disposed of as domestic waste, and even when disposed of by thermal methods, the polypropylene binding produces almost zero residue, according to the manufacturer.
