Gehl Co.’s new RS10 telescopic handler has a rated lift capacity of 10,000 pounds and a maximum lift height of 44 feet, making it a 4-story machine. The boom features a welded box-section design, which it shares with the Gehl DL Series of telehandlers. The 10,000-pound operating capacity is achieved without the use of outriggers or fluid-filled tires, although outriggers are optional for stability. A rear-axle stabilizer system improves stability by locking the rear axle in position whenever the boom is raised more than 60 degrees, the parking brake is applied, or the PWP system is activated. Other design features include a strong frame with reinforced C-channels, internal wet disc brakes, and a spring-applied, hydraulic release parking brake, which automatically applies when the engine is shut off.
