The machine features a new undercarriage design, refined boom and dipper arm layout, ground level service access and increased cooling capacity. The machine's JS Auto design incorporates a Tier-3, 216-hp diesel engine, innovative hydraulic systems with a Plexus filtration system to eliminate contamination and reduce downtime, as well as a comfortable cab environment. The JS290 can be supplied with long or narrow tracks, a choice of three dipper arm lengths and an XD heavy-duty version for more arduous operating conditions.
