CK Power Generators Provide Temporary Power for BMW Championship
Key Highlights
- Event power: CK Power’s 250-kW mobile generators supported temporary power needs during the four-day BMW Championship.
- Wide-ranging demands: Major golf events require electricity for lighting, refrigeration, broadcast production, communications and hospitality.
- Beyond golf: Mobile generators can support outdoor entertainment, corporate events, temporary facilities and other applications where permanent power is limited.
CK Power’s mobile generators supported temporary power needs at the BMW Championship in St. Louis from Aug. 20 to 23.
During the tournament, Bellerive Country Club was transformed from a golf course into a large-scale event venue serving professional golfers, spectators, corporate guests, media, volunteers and tournament operations, according to a company press release.
CK Power’s 250-kW mobile generators played a role in the event’s temporary power infrastructure.
The four-day event included tournament play, practice rounds, hospitality experiences, merchandise sales, concessions and spectator amenities. These operations required electricity for lighting, climate control, refrigeration, food service, communications and audiovisual equipment.
Mobile generators provide a flexible power source for distributing electricity across large venues, particularly when permanent power is unavailable or additional capacity is needed. Beyond hospitality and spectator services, generators can support live broadcast production, tournament operations, communications, security and temporary offices, according to the company press release.
Mobile generators are also used at major sporting events, broadcast production, corporate hospitality events, large-scale outdoor entertainment and temporary facilities where electrical demands exceed available permanent capacity.
