Home Depot opened a store with a rental department in Bettendorf, Iowa, last week. The company, No. 8 on theRER 100, now has 768 rental department branches in North America, Joe Dixon, vice president of pro business and tool rental, told RER.
Bettendorf city officials said he expects that the development of stores such as the 102,445-square-foot Home Depot will spur growth in the area. Store manager Jimmy Lozdowski said the department has more than 250 tools available for hourly and daily rental.
