Komatsu’s Redding, Calif. branch is reopening and will serve as a strategic hub for construction and forestry operations as the company’s northernmost branch in the state.

The reopening will give customers in remote areas of Northern California improved access to machines, rentals, parts and service, reducing travel distances and response times for equipment owners, according to the company press release.  

The branch is strategically located to serve the region’s logging and timber operations. Komatsu also plans to expand its forestry equipment offerings and introduce additional forestry-focused solutions at the location.

"Forestry operations depend on reliable equipment and responsive support because every hour of downtime can affect production," said Todd Gaspers, vice president of operations at Komatsu West. "Reestablishing our presence in Redding brings our team closer to the people who rely on our equipment and services. Northern California has a strong forestry community, and this branch strengthens our ability to provide the parts, service and expertise needed to keep operations moving."

The Redding location will offer equipment for purchase and rent, and customers can order parts and receive local service and product support from Komatsu staff.

An open house will be hosted at the branch on Thursday, Oct. 1 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Pacific. The event is open to current and prospective customers.
