Hyundai Construction Equipment Americas has named Seok Myung (Sam) Yoon its new president and CEO. Yoon came from Hyundai Heavy Industries, Hyundai Construction Equipment’s parent company where he worked in research and development and sales. Most recently, Yoon was the CEO of HHI-Brazil.
“I am pleased to take on this position at a very exciting time for Hyundai Construction Equipment Americas,” Yoon said. “Our -9A series of excavators and wheel loaders gives our dealers and their customers advanced technology and abundant standard features while meeting EPA regulations limiting gas emissions. This line, along with other new products slated for the near future, will help us continue down the path of steady sales volume and market share increases in North and Latin America.”
Hyundai Construction Equipment Americas offers earthmoving and material-handling equipment, including hydraulic excavators, wheel loaders, skid-steer loaders and electric and diesel forklifts. They also manufacture internal combustion cushion and internal combustion pneumatic forklifts. Hyundai’s North American headquarters are in Norcross, Ga.
