    U.S. Army Extends JLG Contract to Refurbish Military Equipment

    JLG Industries, an Oshkosh Corp. company and leading manufacturer of aerial work platforms and telescopic material handlers, has extended its contract with the U.S. Army, increasing the value of the existing contract by $10.2 million for the reset of theater-provided equipment deployed in Afghanistan.

    JLG Industries, an Oshkosh Corp. company and leading manufacturer of aerial work platforms and telescopic material handlers, has extended its contract with the U.S. Army, increasing the value of the existing contract by $10.2 million for the reset of theater-provided equipment deployed in Afghanistan.

    The Reset program administered by the Army Tank-Automotive and Armaments Life Cycle Management Command is designed to reverse the effects of combat stress on equipment, ensuring that machines are “reset” to optimal condition.

    Under the terms of the $73.8 million contract, JLG is refurbishing its SkyTrak 6000M, ATLAS, and ATLAS II military telehandlers, as well as other material handling and construction equipment deployed in Afghanistan. The JLG military service team will perform the work in Bagram and Kandahar, Afghanistan, through Aug. 9, 2013.
