Manitowoc Crane Group last week announced the appointments of two senior posts. John Wheeler was named global operations executive vice president and Larry Weyers, currently head of Manitowoc Crane CARE, will succeed Wheeler as executive vice president in charge of the Americas region. The appointments are effective July 1.
Reporting to Glen Tellock, president of Manitowoc Crane Group, Wheeler will serve as executive vice president in charge of global operational excellence. He will ensure the execution of strategic and tactical operations efforts across all product lines on a global basis.
Weyers assumes responsibility for providing overall direction and leadership Manitowoc Crane Group’s Americas region, as its new executive vice president.
“Both John and Larry have proven their strength as an integral part of our leadership team,” Tellock said. “Their global vision and extensive industry knowledge allow us to provide continued customer focus and the best products in the lifting industry.”
Wheeler and Weyers have served in their current roles as executive vice presidents since 2003. Over the next three months, they will work closely on the transition of duties for the Americas region. The successor for Weyers as head of Crane CARE has not been named.
