Magnum Power Products recently celebrated a 24,000-square-foot expansion at its Berlin, Wis., manufacturing facility that will allow the company to meet growing demand for mobile generators, light towers and pumps. The expansion brings the size of Magnum’s facility to 134,000 square feet.

In addition to providing much needed space for manufacturing, the expansion allowed Magnum to renovate the layout of the entire manufacturing plant, including realignment of production lines for more efficient throughput and improved overall organization. The space also allowed for a new wash system to be installed that will help make Magnum products even more durable by contributing to overall paint quality.

“Since the Magnum brand was introduced in 2002, we’ve experienced growth almost every year,” said Jill Towery, president, Magnum Power Products. “Over the past three years in particular, we have more than doubled our number of employees and more than doubled sales. This expansion positions us very well for continued growth.”

The expansion also demonstrates Magnum’s continued support of and investment in the Berlin, Wis., community since being acquired by Generac Power Systems in October 2011. Magnum has called Berlin home since 1989.

The ribbon-cutting ceremony was attended by Berlin Mayor Richard Schramer; chairman of the Berlin Community Development Corp. Gordon Jodarski; representatives from general contractor Keller Inc. and other subcontractors that worked on the expansion project; and other guests and friends of Magnum.
