QR codes, short for quick response, take a piece of information and connect to it via the camera in mobile phones. Many companies such as Best Buy, Wal-Mart, US Airways and Verizon use QR codes for marketing purposes.

These 2- and 3‐dimensional, state‐of‐the‐art barcodes allow consumers who own mobile devices with QR code readers to link to more information about Mi-T-M equipment, accessories, sales and promotions very quickly. Mi-T-M has also mobile‐optimized videos in place to show customers how to use its equipment, an application well-suited for the rental industry.

"We pride ourselves in utilizing the latest technology in our manufacturing processes so it only makes sense that we use the latest technology in our marketing efforts,” said Karen Anderson, marketing manager for Mi-T-M. “We introduced QR Codes to one of our largest customers at an industry trade show in January and received a very positive response. It is important to see how this technology enhances our customers’ experience, and it’s only the beginning.”

Celebrating its 40th anniversary in 2011, Mi-T-M Corp. is headquartered in Peosta, Iowa.
