Godwin Pumps Names Asset, Logistics and Transportation Manager
Godwin Pumps last week named Bill Price to the newly created position of asset, logistics and transportation manager. Based in Godwin’s Bridgeport, N.J., headquarters, Price will coordinate equipment relocation, including branch-to-branch equipment transfers. In addition to equipment transportation duties, Price will facilitate the utilization of Godwin’s newly implemented enterprise software in all facets of dispatch and freight.
Price has 20 years experience in a variety of industries, including working as transportation services director, operations manager and vice president of operations. His experience in the field includes creating and executing delivery logistics from several distribution centers throughout the U.S., establishing computer modules to support delivery programs, and conducting the hiring and training of transportation personnel. Price also has knowledge of fiscal and strategic functions involved in the startup of new transportation departments.
Godwin Pumps maintains a fleet of more than 6,000 portable rental pumps and related equipment for use in dewatering in construction, mining and quarrying; in drinking water supply; and in wastewater bypasses in municipal, industrial and environmental markets.
