Yuchai Group, Guangxi, China, last week announced the establishment of YC Machinery & Equipment Inc. for the North American distribution of Yuchai brand construction, materials handling and agricultural equipment.
Yuchai Group is the largest manufacturer of compact construction machinery in China, according to the company. It is also a major manufacturer of industrial forklifts and diesel engines. Its initial product offering in the U.S. will be a complete line of Yuchai excavators ranging from 1.5 ton to 22.5 ton weight class models. Subsequent offerings will include a line of industrial forklifts, compact dozers, generator sets, skid-steer loaders and diesel engines.
Yuchai Group is traded on the NYSE under the symbol CYD. Jianhong Li, president of YC Machinery, will be responsible for North American market development.
Also last week, YC Machinery & Equipment announced its intention to establish a wholesale rental fleet to support rental companies and dealers in North America. The YC fleet initially will be comprised primarily of compact excavators, but will expand in the future to include other YC products such as forklifts and compact dozers. The fleet will be available on a subrental basis to qualified customers.
