Sany Heavy Industry, based in China, is planning to build a research and development center at its North America facility in Peachtree City, Ga., the Atlanta Journal is reporting. The company will invest $25 million in the expansion and plans to hire 300 mechanical and hydraulic engineers within the next three to five years.
The new R&D center will design and develop products from many of the company’s product lines.
Sany has had its Peachtree City manufacturing facility since 2007. The complex makes crawler and rough-terrain cranes, excavators, concrete pump trucks, motor graders and more.
