Terex Corp. last week appointed Jacob Thomas as senior vice president with responsibility for product development, marketing and the Terex Business System. In this capacity, Thomas and his team will support the full production cycle for Terex equipment, from customer insights through design, order, delivery and customer support. He reports to Tom Riordan, president and chief operating officer.
Thomas joined Terex in October 2007 as vice president, product development and technology, leading the engineering function globally in this role.
Prior to joining Terex, Thomas served as vice president of the big-bore diesel engine business unit at Navistar International Corp.’s Engine Group. From 2002-2004, he served as managing director of that company’s mid-range diesel engine business unit. Thomas also worked in Navistar’s Commercial Truck Group from 1998-2002, last serving as director of the medium-duty truck product center.
