Komatsu America Corp. is planning a building addition to its Peoria, Ill., facilities, the Peoria Journal Star is reporting. Pending city council approval, Komatsu will begin construction in April.
After the expansion is completed, company officials said the plant will employ about 900 people, and will add hourly shop workers as well as engineers.
