Makita Industrial Power Tools and LeDuc Racing have agreed to a third straight year of partnership in short course off-road racing. Makita joins Rockstar Energy as primary co-sponsors of Rockstar Makita LeDuc Racing.

“The LeDucs are on the podium, race after race, but that’s not the whole story,” said Brent Withey, Makita senior brand manager. “They build their own trucks, drive their own rig to the races, and then they race their trucks. The LeDucs do it all — they’re the real deal.”

“To have Makita on board for a third straight year means a lot to us,” said Curt LeDuc. “Makita’s quality, commitment and leadership in the power tool industry also extends to off-road racing. This partnership is great for us and for short course off-road racing.”

In addition to short course off-road racing, Makita is a fixture in Supercross and Motocross as Makita and Suzuki Racing recently began their sixth year of partnership with the launch of the 2010 Supercross season.

The Rockstar Makita Suzuki Factory Racing Team will also compete in ATV, Superbike and Off-Road racing in 2010. Makita and Rockstar are also sponsors of the Scheuring Speed Sports Sno-Cross Team. In addition to live racing, Makita is the official power tool sponsor of Major League Soccer, and the Mexican National Soccer Team during their competitive matches in the United States.

Located in La Mirada, Calif., Makita is a worldwide manufacturer of industrial-quality power tools and it offers a wide range of industrial accessories.
