Ariens Co. is voluntarily recalling more than 1,000 snow blowers because of a potential injury hazard, the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission said in an alert this week.

Ariens is recalling more than 1,000 of its SnoThro 30LE model 921020 because of possible hand injuries to users while cleaning the collector or discharge chute. No injuries have been reported to this point.

The units have been sold at The Home Depot and by Ariens dealers.

Honda recalled three snowblower models in late December — the HS724, HS928 and HS1132 because the company received reports of fuel seeping or dripping from the fuel tank, posing a potential fire hazard. The units have been sold since April 2005.
