Lincoln Electric Automation will host a SteelDay event at the company’s Automation Center of Excellencein Cleveland on Sept. 24. The full-day agenda will include presentations, demonstrations, a facility tour and lunch.

SteelDay 2010, sponsored by the American Institute of Steel Construction, is the second annual national event dedicated to providing accessibility to the latest developments in the structural steel industry. Several events will take place across the U.S., at mills, fabrication shops, service centers, manufacturers and galvanizers.

Presentations at the Lincoln Electric event will cover topics such as cost-reduction through welded steel, historical bridge restoration and welding safety as well as what Lincoln products and systems are suited for the structural steel industry. Many demonstrations are planned including robotic submerged arc welding, robotic cutting and scribing, weld fume control and the new VRTEX 360 virtual reality welding trainer.
