Haulotte’s consolidated sales of €343.4 million (about U.S. $377 million) for the first nine months of 2016 is a 10.5-percent increase compared to €310.8 million for the same period a year ago.

In the third quarter, Haulotte Group’s sales were €104 million, about the same as the third quarter of 2015.

Excluding currency effects, Haulotte did well in Europe with a 30-percent increase, driven by the recovery of investment expenditure of rental companies. Haulotte’s sales in Asia grew 7 percent so far this year. On the down side, North America and Latin America activity was soft for Haulotte, declining 13 percent and 11 percent respectively compared to the first nine months of 2015. Third quarter results essentially were similar to the first two quarters in both regions.

Haulotte Group still expects an overall sales increase of about 5 percent in 2016.

The company is based in L’Horme, France, with U.S. headquarters in Virginia Beach, Va.
