Holland’s Riwal Acquires Training Specialist ALS Safety
Riwal, international aerial work platform and telehandler rental specialist, has acquired ALS Safety Ltd., a U.K.-based provider of aerial safety training. Operating from five training centers across the U.K., ALS Safety provides accredited IPAF training and PASMA aerial training as well as Health & Safety and First Aid training.
ALS Safety will continue with its name and branding and the ALS Safety staff will be employed by Riwal, whose Riwal U.K. management team will be involved in the day-to-day management of ALS Safety.
“At Riwal, our business is founded upon safety,” said Norty Turner, Riwal CEO. “It is an absolute critical element in everything we do. ALS Safety is a good strategic fit to our business and will support our growth ambitions in the U.K. as it will enable us to provide a broader range of training to our customers and in more training facilities. In addition we are bringing our rental solutions to ALS Safety’s customer base.”
“We have gained a solid reputation in the industry and as part of the Riwal Group we will be able to further grow our service offering to a new customer base and into new geographical areas,” said Darren Verschuren, ALS Safety’s managing director.
Riwal, headquartered in Dordrecht, The Netherlands, has operations in 18 countries on four continents, primarily renting aerial work platforms, telehanders, and generators.
