Access Market to Rise 21 Percent in U.K. by 2018, Report Says
The access equipment market in the U.K. is projected to grow to about £337 million by 2018, up from about £279 million in 2014, according to a new study by Research and Markets, an increase of 20.8 percent. Powered access will account for £191 million and non-powered access by £146 million, the report says.
According to the report, powered access and non-powered products compete for similar work. The rental sector is particularly strong in sub-sectors such as access towers and aerial work platforms, called mobile elevating work platforms in the U.K. In recent years, rental companies replenished their inventories after downsizing fleets during the economic downturn.
