U.K. Crane Rental Firm Acquires Scottish Company

United Kingdom crane rental specialist Ainscough Crane Hire Limited acquired James Jack Lifting Services Limited, based in Aberdeen, Scotland, with branches in Invergordon, Dundee and Grangemouth.

United Kingdom crane rental specialist Ainscough Crane Hire Limited acquired James Jack Lifting Services Limited, based in Aberdeen, Scotland, with branches in Invergordon, Dundee and Grangemouth.

“James Jack Lifting Services is a good business and will be an excellent complement to Ainscough,” said Ainscough managing director Neil Partridge. “Whilst we intend that the company will operate independently for some time, we extend a warm welcome to all employees, customers and suppliers of James Jack.”

Ainscough, based in Manchester, is one of the U.K.’s leading crane rental companies. Its management team bought the company for £255 million last year. The company has about 25 branches and a fleet of 500 mobile cranes. It primarily serves the infrastructure, petrochemical and general construction sectors.
