Briggs Equipment U.K. to Supply Home-Improvement Retailer

Briggs Equipment U.K. inked a deal worth £5 million (about U.S. $8.1 million) to supply nearly 400 trucks and other material handling equipment to Travis Perkins, one of the U.K.’s larger builders, merchants and home-improvement retailers. Briggs has supplied, in recent years, a wide range of reach forklifts, as well as low-level order pickers and other smaller products.

As part of the arrangement, Briggs will replace 250 fork trucks with new vehicles from Yale Materials Handling.
