U.K. tool and equipment rental company HSS Hire is launching a new program to set up small hire centers at customers’ locations to help drive project efficiency and save costs, according to build.co.uk. With the new program, HSS customers in the U.K. and Ireland can set up their own HSS equipment and training facility on a project site.
The onsite packages can be sized according to customer requirements, with possibilities ranging from a desk in a pre-existing building to a separate structure with stocking and training capabilities. Most facilities are likely to include a modular building staffed by an HSS employee housing shop facilities and an equipment storage area with personalized safety and directional signage.
The concept is designed to facilitate access to equipment and customer service, with enhanced efficiency and flexibility. HSS Onsite facilities are already located on projects such as Shell Centre, Canary Wharf, National Tennis Centre and Westfield Stratford.
