EquipmentShare, a leader in connected jobsite technology and one of the largest equipment rental providers in the United States, held a groundbreaking ceremony last week to celebrate construction of its new Roswell, N.M., branch and announce a broader statewide expansion that the company said will bring five to 10 new locations to communities across New Mexico. The Roswell site will be EquipmentShare’s seventh location in the state, EquipmentShare said.

The new branch will operate as a Core Solutions facility. Contractors will have access to a modern fleet that includes excavators, dozers, skid steers, telehandlers, boom lifts, scissor lifts, and other essential equipment. Every asset connects through EquipmentShare’s proprietary vertically integrated T3 platform, which provides real-time visibility, utilization insights, machine access control, and jobsite management tools. The branch will also offer rapid on-site support to keep projects safe, secure, productive, and on schedule.

As part of its statewide expansion plan, EquipmentShare is working with community partners, evaluating potential sites, and exploring statewide property opportunities. Each new branch is associated with 25 to 50 jobs and a projected investment range of $35 million to $70 million, including equipment, capital improvements, renovations, and first-year salaries once branches reach maturation.

“This milestone highlights the momentum driving southeastern New Mexico’s economic growth as businesses continue to invest, fueling long-term prosperity,” said Rob Black, cabinet secretary of the New Mexico Economic Development Department. “When we create pathways for businesses to thrive, we are strengthening the economic foundation that supports our families and communities across the state.”

“I have worked alongside contractors here for years. They do tough work and they do it well,” said Mike Galvan, district manager for EquipmentShare. “What they need now is a partner that can match their pace with reliable equipment and tech that provides control and real-time visibility. That is what EquipmentShare brings to the table."

“Where there is construction, there EquipmentShare is,” said Amy Susan, senior director of public affairs for EquipmentShare. “And this region is booming with new development – from road and bridge improvements and water and utility upgrades to energy projects, aviation manufacturing, transmission lines, industrial sites, and housing. Opening in Roswell puts our T3® platform and a modern, well-maintained fleet closer to these jobs. It means better visibility, faster service, and more uptime for teams delivering essential work across the American Southwest.”

The Roswell branch is scheduled to open in 2026, with hiring and community engagement efforts underway. For more information, visit www.equipmentshare.com.
