Georgia’s M&R Equipment Rental Adds Athens Location
After almost 40 years of successful business in in Gainesville, Ga., M&R Equipment Rental recently opened a second location in Athens, Ga.
M&R Equipment Rental, which is owned by three brothers, Don, Nathan, and Will Crumley, offers homeowners and professional contractors a one-stop shop for equipment and tool rentals, including a full line of earth moving, aerial, underground, and compaction equipment, as well as smaller tools for a wide range of jobs.
Co-owner Don Crumley says the company is thrilled with the opportunity to expand and provide a local option for the residents of Athens.
“We’ve known we wanted another store for two to three years, and everyone that we’ve talked to in Athens has been really supportive,” said Don Crumley. “We want to keep growing, but we always want to remain rooted in our local, personal approach to business.”
M&R built its success on both the availability of its tools and equipment and its customer service and responsiveness, Crumley said. And the owners believe that Athens’s residents will appreciate the same approach.
“We’re always here, and we’re always happy to talk with you,” he said. “You’re not just getting a machine when you reach out to us.”
Beyond being supportive, M&R’s personal touch also allows them a level of flexibility that’s not always available from larger, more impersonal retailers.
“We’re adaptable and can fill orders quickly, and we do so with a level of service that you just don’t find many other places,” Nathan Crumley said. “We know that there are several options available in the tool and equipment rental market, so we made it a point from the start to set ourselves apart and make it as easy as possible for our patrons.”
Indeed, M&R serves a wide range of customer needs, including rentals of larger equipment such as skid-steer loaders, excavators, and boom lifts, as well as smaller equipment such as lawnmowers, saws, and fans. M&R also offers equipment delivery services and an after-hours rental drop at both the Gainesville and Athens locations.
“We know it’s not always convenient for people to come in during hours, so we do our best to make sure we can meet their needs, no matter the time,” Will Crumley said. “Whether you’re a contractor or a homeowner, you may need our tools at unusual times – or it may be difficult for you to get them back to us during normal hours – so we want to help out as best we can.”
