Inc. magazine ranked Nickell Rental No. 4776 on its 34th annual Inc. 5000, an exclusive ranking of the nation’s fastest-growing private companies. The list is a comprehensive study of independent entrepreneurs in the United States, and many companies such as Yelp, Pandora, Dell, Timberland, Domino’s Pizza, LinkedIn and many others gained early exposure as members of the Inc. 5000.

Equipment rental companies previously listed on the Inc. 5000 list include Durante’s Rentals, Able Equipment Rental, Topp Portable Air and Worldwide Power Products. Rental software provider Point-of-Rental Systems was also recently listed.

“We are very proud of being honored on this list,” said Nickell Rental president Tom Nickell. “There were some tough years recently in the Georgia construction industry we had to endure. Fortunately, we have been blessed with a great team who hung in there and fought hard alongside us and helped propel our company to a place where we could take advantage of all the current opportunities.

The 2015 Inc. 5000, unveiled online at Inc.com with the top 500 companies featured in the September print issue of Inc., is the most competitive listing in its history. The average company on the list achieved three-year growth of 490 percent. The complete listing can be found at www.inc.com/inc5000.

“The story of this year’s Inc. 5000 is the story of great leadership,” said Inc. president and editor-in-chief Eric Schurenberg. “In an incredibly competitive business landscape, it takes something extraordinary to take your company to the top. The average company on the Inc. 5000 grew nearly six-fold since 2012. Business owners don’t achieve that kind of success by accident.”

Nickell Rental has continued its growth, opening a new branch in Hiram, Ga., this year.

“We attribute our growth to two core values,” said Nickell Rental vice president Josh Nickell. “A razor sharp focus on our niche markets and a company culture that promotes authentically caring about our customers. Anyone can rent equipment, that’s not our goal. Our goal is to help them get their project done.”

Nickell Rental opened its first rental center in Newnan, Ga., in 1998, and also has branches in Griffin and Hiram, Ga.
