Herc Holdings Inc. Elects Former RSC CEO Erik Olsson to its Board of Directors
Herc Holdings Inc. has elected Erik Olsson, former CEO of RSC Holdings and Mobile Mini, to Herc Rentals’ board of directors, effective Aug. 18, 2026. Olsson will serve on the Board’s audit committee.
“We are pleased to welcome Erik to the Board,” said Patrick Campbell, chairman of the board of directors. “His proven leadership across both public and private equity-owned companies, combined with his direct industry experience, will bring valuable insight to the Board.”

With this appointment, the board will expand from eight to nine members.
Olsson is an accomplished business leader with a successful track record spanning multiple industries and continents. Most recently, Olsson served as president and CEO of Mobile Mini, one of the world's leading providers of portable storage solutions. He subsequently transitioned to chairman of the board, where he guided the company through its landmark merger with WillScot.
Prior to Mobile Mini, Olsson served as president and CEO of RSC Holdings, where he drove a series of milestones, delivering shareholder value and ultimately positioning the company for its acquisition by United Rentals. Olsson was also a member of the board of directors of RSC and held the roles of both chief operating officer and chief financial officer before being appointed CEO.
Olsson has also held board-level positions across several manufacturing companies, serving as chairman at Ritchie Bros. and as a board member at Dometic.
A native of Sweden, Olsson holds a degree in business administration and economics from the University of Gothenburg.
