Hyundai Hosting Utility Expo Operator Challenge for Prizes and National Competition
HD Hyundai Construction Equipment North America is hosting the Hyundai Utility Expo Operator Challenge at Booth K345 at The Utility Expo, Oct. 7 – 9, in Louisville.
Equipment operators visiting the Hyundai booth (K345) can get in the seat of the Hyundai HX90A compact excavator, a model introduced earlier this year to the utility and construction markets. Contestants can put their skills to the test in a timed exercise to qualify for the final competition, where one winner will earn the $1,000 grand prize. Tasks in the timed event will include trench digging, lifting and placing a length of pipe, and precision placement of materials.
Special guests Mike “Dirt Perfect” Simon and Chris “LetsDig18” Guins, along with their nicknames, will be on hand at the Hyundai booth to host the competition, starting with the qualifying rounds beginning at 1 p.m. on Tuesday and 9 a.m. on Wednesday.
Top qualifiers will be eligible for the finals, which will be held Wednesday at 1 p.m. In addition to the cash purse, the grand-prize winner will have the chance to travel to the Hyundai Product Center in Carnesville, Ga., to participate in the next official National Equipment League tournament, where they can go up against top competitors, including current champion Simon, Guins and others.
Operators interested in participating can sign up to compete in person at the show. Follow along with Hyundai on Facebook for additional information leading up to the show. Learn more about HD Hyundai Construction Equipment NA’s products or dealership opportunities at na.hd-hyundaice.com
