Komatsu Company Stores East has become an authorized distributor of Atlas and Mantsinen material handlers through a new dealer partnership with the SMH Group.

The collaboration will enhance the availability and support of high-quality material handling equipment in the Northeastern United States, providing specialized equipment solutions from Atlas and Mantsinen for port operations, recycling, scrap metal, demolition, waste management, logging and other industries.

“We're delighted to partner with the SMH Group and offer Atlas and Mantsinen material handlers to our valued customers,” said Mike Kubas, president, Komatsu Company Stores East. “This extensive product line is renowned for its reliability and performance in demanding applications, and we believe it will be an outstanding solution for many of our customers.”

Atlas material handlers range in size from the 44,000-pound Atlas 200 MH to the 125,000-pound Atlas 520 MH and are known for their fast cycle times, optimized handling and extended life span. The Mantsinen material handlers support larger needs, with the 160,000-pound Mantsinen 60 and the more than 900,000-pound Mantsinen 300, one of the largest machines of its kind.

Komatsu Company Stores East operates 11 branches in five states: Delaware, Maryland, New Jersey, New York and Pennsylvania. With the addition of Komatsu Company Stores East to its dealer network, the SMH Group now has a footprint that includes eight dealers in 21 states.

"We are excited to add such a major dealer to the network," said Tim Hyland, vice president of the SMH Group. "This partnership expands our reach and better serves customers across various industries."
