Sunbelt commended Wright for his leadership in uniting 26 A-Plant businesses into one Sunbelt Rentals team, as well as his instrumental role in navigating the Covid-19 pandemic.

Sunbelt Rentals U.K., the UK’s largest equipment rental company, said U.K. CEO Andy Wright, will step down from his role at the end of April 2024 and Phil Parker is appointed new CEO effective May 1. Sunbelt announced this succession plan internally in April 2023.

Sunbelt commended Wright for his leadership in uniting 26 A-Plant businesses into one Sunbelt Rentals team, as well as his instrumental role in navigating the Covid-19 pandemic. The company also moved into new markets such as Facilities Management and Film and TV production rentals.

“I would like to personally thank Andy Wright for his collaboration and transformative leadership,” said Brendan Horgan, Sunbelt Rentals’ Group CEO. “Sunbelt Rentals is a better business today as a direct result of his ambition and efforts.”

Parker joined the business in 2016 and has been an executive board member, part of the company's strategic development. During his eight years at Sunbelt Rentals, Parker has held executive roles in finance, business development, and most recently operations. In recent years he has worked closely with Wright.

“Under Andy’s strategic leadership and guidance, Sunbelt Rentals has become the largest rental provider in the U.K. market and achieved remarkable growth and success,” said Parker. “Moving forward, I am honored and motivated to build on this legacy and drive the growth of our business through our next five-year strategic growth plan – Sunbelt 4.0.”
