H&E Equipment Services Names Brad Barber its Next CEO

H&E Equipment Services has promoted Bradley Barber as CEO, president and a director of the company, effective January 1, 2019. Barber will succeed current CEO John Engquist, who has been named executive chairman of the board of directors, effective January 1, 2019.

H&E Equipment Services has promoted Bradley Barber as CEO, president and a director of the company, effective January 1, 2019. Barber will succeed current CEO John Engquist, who has been named executive chairman of the board of directors, effective January 1, 2019. Gary Bagley, current chairman of the board, will remain a director of the company.

 “We are pleased to announce Brad’s expanded role with the company,” Engquist said. “Brad has been instrumental in H&E’s success over the years and we look forward to his leadership and his contributions to the company’s future growth. As executive chairman of the board, I will lead H&E in its strategic planning and oversee merger and acquisition opportunities on a full-time basis. I will continue to work with Leslie Magee, CFO and secretary, to ensure we have the appropriate capital structure to support our growth plans and to maintain the financial health of the company. Lastly, we are most grateful for Gary’s leadership as chairman of the board and a director of the company since the company’s formation in 2005 and look forward to his continued service as a director.”

Baton Rouge, La.-based H&E Equipment Services is one of the largest integrated equipment services companies in the United States with 89 full-service facilities throughout the West Coast, Intermountain, Southwest, Gulf Coast, Mid-Atlantic and Southeast regions, and is No. 10 on the RER 100. The company is focused on heavy construction and industrial equipment and rents, sells and provides parts and services support for four core categories of specialized equipment: hi-lift or aerial platform equipment; cranes; earthmoving equipment; and industrial lift trucks.
